Join Helen every Monday from 5th June to 3rd July, 6.30 – 7.30pm at Leybourne Lakes for this Intro to SUP Fitness 5 Week Course.
SUP Fitness is an amazing way to improve strength, balance and proprioception. It makes a great cross training activity and is also brilliant in its own right!
Week 1: Intro to SUP and SUP Fitness – improve your paddle technique (even if you are a complete beginner) to allow you to get the most out of the rest of the course; try some basic exercises on the board, and learn how to develop these to challenge your strength and fitness!
Week 2: SUP Circuits 1 – SUP Circuits is a fun and effective fitness class, improving cardiovascular fitness, muscular endurance, strength and balance.
Week 3: SUP & Run 1 – An interval training workout, combining SUPing with Running. High intensity cardiovascular workout.
Week 4: SUP Circuits 2 – Building on the first circuit session, a fun and effective SUP Fitness session, focused on Core Strength.
Week 5: SUP & Run 2 – Building on the previous session, and testing your improving fitness levels!
Classes consist of a range of dynamic and passive exercises which can be adapted to suit your individual needs, goals and fitness levels. Some of the exercises will take place on land, and others on the paddleboards.
Regardless of weather, sessions will still go ahead (although will be adapted accordingly – we cannot SUP in very strong winds or storms), so please dress appropriately.
Space is limited to 8 people for the group lessons, this keeps it personal enough but still gives the traditional feel of a class.
