I am so very excited to bring you details of our next retreat …
Spring Flow Yoga Retreat
29th April – 2nd May 2016 (May Day bank holiday weekend)
At The Mill Retreat Centre, Normandy, France!
This lusciously long, 4-day weekend will be a celebration of the springtime! Full of new beginnings, good intentions, health and vitality, we will explore yoga on all levels, in this breathtakingly peaceful setting.
Yoga and Activities:
Once we arrive, I’ll be leading you through morning and early evening vinyasa flow yoga sessions. These will compliment the seasonal energies of spring, including the wood element, and the associated gall bladder and liver meridians, as viewed in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the late evenings there will be peaceful pranayama and yoga nidra sessions for a perfect end to each day. During the weekend, there will also be one optional arm-balance workshop designed to help steady your roots and give you the confidence to take flight!
Aside from our group yoga sessions, the location also lends itself to beautiful bike rides (there is a small collection of bikes, including a tandem and an electric bike, to borrow at the centre), walking and wildlife spotting around the lake and river. There is a small rowing boat, canoe and windsurf available to enjoy the view from the water, and depending on the weather, I may also bring a paddleboard or two along too! If you prefer a more relaxing approach, there are plenty of beautiful spots in and out to curl up and read a book, write, paint, or relax in any way you choose.
My gorgeous friend, fellow yoga teacher and massage therapist, Shannon Hines-Clark, will also be with us again to offer her wonderfully restorative Swedish massage, which received rave reviews on our last retreat!
The catering will be taken care of by the dedicated team at The Mill Retreat Centre, and will all be organic (where possible) and vegetarian, plus they are happy to cater for specific dietary requirements (such as vegan, gluten free, dairy free etc).
The retreat centre has a whopping 18
bedrooms, including four single rooms, nine double rooms (available as singles), and five shared bedrooms. All beds are made up with Egyptian cotton sheets, feather and down pillows (with hyper-allergenic options) and lovely thick 100% wool blankets or thick warm Duvets. There are 9 elegant shower / bathrooms.
Travel and Location:
You’ll be well looked after right from the start. With coach
pick up from Maidstone on Friday lunchtime, 29th April, we’ll be driven, via the channel tunnel, in a private luxury coach all the way to the centre, which means stress-free travel and no confusing changes. They will also bring us home on the Monday Bank Holiday. If you would prefer to find your own way there, the address is:
Route Treport (D316)
Nr. Aumale, FRANCE
“The Mill Retreat Centre is set in 30 acres of stunning grounds. With a spectacular 10 acre lake, a beautiful river running underneath the centre, and views of enticing woodland.
